Vice President, Research and Development
A neuroscientist with 20 years experience, Nadia is best known as the champion for Merck's Substance P (NK1) receptor antagonist research and development program for pain, emesis and depression. She was a key contributor to two marketed products, Emend and Vioxx, and to the clinical development of various novel therapies for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, anxiety, schizophrenia and pain. Her research led to over 20 patents and she is an author of over 120 peer reviewed scientific publications. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Behavioural Pharmacology. Her career at Merck gave her unusually broad exposure to the opportunities and challenges of developing new drugs, spanning the lab bench to the clinic. After leaving Merck, she was attracted by the fast pace and energy of biotech, and joined Dynogen Pharmaceuticals, a specialty company repositioning clinical-stage neuroscience compounds for genitourinary and gastrointestinal disorders.
Nadia received her bachelor's degree in Physiology and Psychology from the University of Oxford, UK. She gained her PhD in Neuropharmacology at the University of London under the supervision of Professor C.D. Marsden.
