Professor Farkkila has participated extensively in clinical research studies on a wide range of acute migraine therapies including all the triptans. His research interests also include the clinical genetics of migraine. For the past 10 years, Dr. Farkkila has led a multidisciplinary team of 20 researchers to develop boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) for blioblastoma multiforme. His current research interests are the pathophysiology and genetic background of migraine with and without aura.
