Dr. Reuter’s research focuses on clinical and experimental studies on primary headache disorders primarily migraine. His basic science interests are the connection between the migraine aura and the headache as well as the signal transmission (on a molecular level) that results in the generation of headache. NO, COX and CGRP are the molecules of interest.  His lab has experimental in vivo and in vitro models established to explore pain pathways in which these molecules are important.
